Soletanche Polska will participate in the delivery of one of the most important infrastructure projects in the \u015awi\u0119tokrzyskie region \u2013 the S74 expressway section Prze\u0142om\/Mni\u00f3w \u2013 Kielce, on the stretch between Kielce (S7 Kielce Zach\u00f3d interchange) and Kielce (National Road No. 73). The project is being carried out under the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d formula. The contracting authority is the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), Kielce Branch, while Soletanche Polska will perform geotechnical and foundation works on behalf of the general contractor, INTERCOR Sp. z o.o.<\/p><\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>Scope of Soletanche Polska works<\/h2><\/div>
The investment is a key component of the expansion of the transport network of Kielce and the entire region. Its primary objective is to improve transit traffic flow, reduce congestion in the city centre, and enhance the connection between the S7 expressway, the south-eastern part of Kielce and National Road DK73.<\/p>\n
The new nearly 5-kilometre-long section of the S74 will connect two major interchanges: Kielce Zach\u00f3d (S7) and Kielce Bocianek, previously constructed as part of the S74 Kielce \u2013 Cedzyna section. The project also includes the construction of two new interchanges \u2013 Kielce Herby and Kielce Skrzetle \u2013 as well as two tunnels, including one approximately 500 metres long between Klonowa and Warszawska streets. In addition, the investment covers the construction of viaducts, roundabouts and new access roads.<\/p>\n
An important part of the project will also be the accompanying urban infrastructure: approximately 13 km of sidewalks, 10 km of bicycle paths and bus bays, significantly improving urban mobility and road safety.<\/p>\n
The S74 section in the Kielce area is considered one of the most challenging parts of the entire route due to its urban character, dense development and complex ground conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
Scope of Soletanche Polska works<\/h2><\/div>The start of geotechnical and foundation works is planned for early July 2026. The scope includes:<\/p>\n
\n- diaphragm walls together with detailed design and construction methodology,<\/li>\n
- CFA pile palisades,<\/li>\n
- DSM columns,<\/li>\n
- ground improvement using jet-grouting pressure injection,<\/li>\n
- jet-grouting bottom sealing plug,<\/li>\n
- comprehensive geotechnical works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
