On December 18, the third home created as part of the “Home from the Heart” programme was officially opened. This year’s edition of the project, organized by the Budimex Group, aimed to build a modern and environmentally friendly modular house for Ms. Teresa from Wołomin, who lost her home in a fire. Soletanche Polska was proud to support this important initiative, which once again demonstrated how much can be achieved through cooperation and commitment.

“Home from the Heart is a project that perfectly reflects the Budimex Group’s philosophy—one based on corporate social responsibility and initiatives that have a tangible impact on improving the quality of life in local communities. This time, we had the honour of helping Ms. Teresa, and our greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that, thanks to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved, the house was completed before Christmas. This means that Ms. Teresa can spend this special time in a warm and safe place that she can once again call home”, says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Director of Human Resources at Budimex.
“Home from the Heart is one of the most important social projects we have had the pleasure of supporting, both in terms of its scale and the significant financial contribution involved. What matters most to us, however, is the belief that, as a company, we can genuinely improve the lives of others. We are proud to participate in an initiative that not only provides support but also inspires collective action”, says Anna Skoczylas, Chief Financial Officer of Soletanche Polska.

The Beneficiary of the Third Edition of “Home from the Heart”
Ms. Teresa, a resident of Wołomin, spent more than 50 years building her life in a house that was almost completely destroyed by a fire caused by an electrical fault in January of this year. She lost her entire life’s possessions, and rebuilding the house proved impossible.
Ms. Teresa has also faced other personal hardships. She lost her husband to cancer and, several years later, her son as well. She currently lives with her daughter and granddaughter, who provide her with tremendous support. Independent and full of energy, she dreamed of returning to a home of her own – and thanks to the “Home from the Heart” project, that dream has now become a reality.
Working Together for the Common Good
The “Home from the Heart” project is an example of solidarity within the construction industry, bringing together companies that joined forces to help people facing difficult life circumstances.
“This project is also another example of successful cooperation with our long-standing business partner, Budimex. Together, we deliver numerous projects that have not only infrastructural significance but also social and environmental value, making our partnership particularly meaningful. We believe that initiatives like this strengthen business relationships while delivering real benefits to local communities”, emphasizes Anna Skoczylas, Chief Financial Officer of Soletanche Polska.
Ms. Teresa’s new home is a modern, eco-friendly modular building that has been fully finished and furnished. Before the end of the year, she was able to begin a new chapter of her life in safe and comfortable surroundings.
“Projects such as this allow us to provide meaningful support to those in need by turning our values into tangible results. It is extremely important for us to be a company that leaves behind more than impressive construction projects—we want to create real value for people, which is a cornerstone of our sustainability strategy”, adds Anna Skoczylas, Chief Financial Officer of Soletanche Polska.

About the “Home from the Heart” Project
“Home from the Heart” is a nationwide social initiative launched by Budimex, aimed at building homes for people facing difficult life situations. The programme delivers fully finished and furnished houses that provide beneficiaries with dignified living conditions and a fresh start.
Each edition of the programme has its own beneficiary, selected from nominations submitted on behalf of individuals in need of support. “Home from the Heart” is not only a form of material assistance but also a powerful demonstration of solidarity and social responsibility, showing how much can be achieved through collective effort.
